Lizzo said she is n’t letting negative comments and criticism hinder her efforts to share the music and the joy of her life with others.

The” Truth Hurts” and” Rumors” singer, 35, reassured fans that her music is here to stay despite declaring in an Instagram statement last week,” I QUIT”. In a short video released on Tuesday afternoon, the Grammy champion, who is facing legal action for sexual harassment and a hostile work environment, made clear her position.

” I wanna make this movie because I just need to understand: When I say’ I quit,’ I mean I quit giving any negative energy, focus”, said the song, who was wearing a plunging energy blue swimsuit from her Yitty clothing line.

Melissa Viviane Jefferson, Lizzo’s birth name, is the baby name for the artist, who wants to keep making audio to inspire others to overcome negativity. Before three previous dancers&nbsp, sued&nbsp, the song in August 2023, Lizzo&nbsp, built her empire&nbsp, on personal- empowerment and positivity, releasing sense- good music like as” Juice” and” Fine as Hell”.

Lizzo said on Tuesday that it’s her purpose to give audiences the trust to” stand up for themselves” and “win” against critics and their ideas.

” With that being said, I’m going to keep moving ahead. I’m going to stay being me”, she said, before thanking fans for their help.

In late March, the” Boys” musician&nbsp, announced&nbsp, that she was done dealing with criticism from “everyone in my life and on the internet”. She wrote,” I’m starting to feel like the world does n’t want me in it”.

She attacked unknown individuals who allegedly lied about the song, “disrespecting my name,” and made her appearance the “butt of the prank every single time.”

” I did n’t sign up for this s—. I QUIT”, she concluded her speech. She did not at the moment declare her intention to stop playing music altogether.

The singer-flutist has reportedly threatened to leave the music industry because of negative press in the past, but this was not the first day. The song stated in a number of since-deleted posts in June 2023 that she was considering leaving her song behind and facing body-shaming online.

After sharing her” I QUIT” charter, Lizzo was met with both support and criticism. In the opinions, celebrities such as Eric André, Paris Hilton and Letoya Luckett sent their passion to the song. Holly Robinson Peete, an artist, advised the song to continue on with her profession and “find methods and techniques to shut out the noises.”

The counsel for the three performers taking Lizzo to judge, however, was far less friendly.

Lawyer Ron Zambrano said in a statement shared with The Times on Monday that “it’s a prank that Lizzo may claim she is being bullied by the computer when she should be taking an honest look at herself. Her most recent article is just another explosion aimed at her own shortcomings, as she continues to blame everyone else for the situation in which she is at.

Zambrano’s speech questioned the legitimacy of Lizzo’s” I QUIT” declaration— likening it to a kid — and urged the song to “accept responsibility for her actions”.

The statement added:” She can make all of this go away simply by seizing the opportunity here to set an example, own up to her mistakes, pay what’s due to those she’s wronged and work on becoming a better person”.
