The actions being discussed by RNC Chairman Michael Whatley and co-chair Lara Trump.
As the Republican National Committee ( RNC ) shifts much of its 2024 focus to ensuring election integrity, RNC officials discussed the measures they’re undertaking to ensure that America’s 2024 election is fair and secure.
Before, the RNC announced the creation of an election integrity section, focused on issues like legal battles across the United States, vote observing, and other methods.
In an appearance on Fox News ‘” Sunday Morning Futures” on April 7th, RNC Chairman Michael Whatley and RNC co-chair Lara Trump, former president Donald Trump’s daughter-in-law, discussed what those tactics will look like.
The look comes after President Trump made a record-breaking$ 50 million donation at a Palm Beach, Florida charity on April 6.
In the meantime, following the departure of former president Ronna McDaniel, the RNC is working closer than ever with the Trump campaign, which Ms. Trump claimed do ensure that money is being used effectively.
According to anchor Maria Bartiromo, Mr. Whatley responded,” We are going to spend every single dollar that we raise on two key-critical core missions for the RNC, which are getting out the vote and protecting the ballot,” when asked where President Trump’s newly raised$ 50 million will go.
Ms. Trump echoed the attitude.
Election morality “is vital”, Ms. Trump said. ” It is the No. Apart from getting the ballot, there is one thing else we are focused on.
” We are ensuring that this poll we are leaving nothing to opportunity,” she added, saying the RNC” is focused like a light “on election integrity.
The funds that President Trump raised next evening will be able to raise, according to Ms. Trump, will be a significant contribution to that endeavor.
” We have the money now to ensure we can train poll employees, not just have poll observers, that we can have professionals in every election district necessary across this state,” Ms. Trump said”. Because we have to grasp the significance of this election, we are making sure that we do n’t leave anything to chance.
Mr. Whatley explained further what the RNC’s election dignity drive entails.
” First, we’ve got to make sure that we have the rules of the road in place in every state to ensure a good poll,” Mr. Whatley said”. So we are working with state legislature, we’re working with board of votes, we’re working with secretaries of state to make sure that we get the rules of the road straight and if they’re no, we’re gonna go report lawsuits.”
He cited the RNC’s already filed 80 similar lawsuits in 24 different states.
To ensure that we are present whenever a vote is cast and a vote has been tallied, he added,” We are recruiting and training tens of thousands of observers, and we are recruiting and training thousands of attorneys.”
Additionally, Mr. Whatley claimed that the RNC is setting up election integrity councils in each of the key battleground states.
” What we want are fair, accurate, secure, and transparent elections, and when we have it, then we’re going to protect the sanctity of that ballot,” Mr. Whatley said”. We’re going to make cheating simple and easy.
He specifically cited the battleground states of Pennsylvania, Arizona, Michigan, Georgia, and Wisconsin, all key states won by President Trump in 2016 but lost in 2020.
Republicans have been a major concern for years about election integrity, especially in the wake of the still-tumorous 2020 election.
Many Republicans have expressed concern that the outcome of the election, particularly in states like Georgia and Arizona, was impacted by widespread election fraud.
Others have expressed concern about the last-minute changes to the electoral rules that were made during the COVID-19 era, frequently by actors other than state legislatures, which critics criticized as unconstitutional.
