Pro-Palestinian students who stormed the mayor’s office at Pomona College were detained and booked by riot-wearing officers on Friday, according to the Claremont Courier.
After reportedly refusing to leave Alexander Hall, 19 people were charged with criminal intruding. After reportedly refusing to clear a path for officials, another rebel was charged with criminal postponing or obstructing one. The Courier reported that all of the defendants were detained and given quotes to appear in Pomona Superior Court.
Due to their imprisonment, the students “verbally harass]ed ] team, perhaps using a horrible, anti- black racial slur in addressing an superintendent. According to President Gabrielle Starr’s memo, this is just one more incident in an ongoing series on our campus, which includes frequent harassment of students during admissions tours.
” These steps are constantly destructive of the principles that underpin our community”, she wrote. There is no justification for this abuse, and there is no justification for refusing to use your campus to discover yourself. Students therefore, under false pretenses, entered Alexander Hall, and are occupying my business”.
The protesters complained that school officials had removed a pro-Palestine wall ahead of a college event, according to the memo, which stated that” campus staff started removing the signs and other materials that were left in preparation for events scheduled for Sunday.” They explained to the attendees that they could walk their personal items, or that they could store them for pickup.
On X, Starr next followed through with her hazard after videos of her requesting that the protesters leave or they would be detained.
President Gabi Starr gave instructions to Pomona College individuals as they entered an operational tower last night, as well as other people.
Finally she suspended them and had them arrested.

You can see Starr telling the demonstrators to leave the building in the first film. The Hamas supporters ‘ crowd assumed she was calling it bluff and refused to leave as expected. Why do they believe any different, given the lack of police at various colleges? But then something extraordinary happened: Outcomes”, Red State reported.
The officers” showed up in riot gear and arrested every rebel inside the building,” the next movie reveals. Starr was n’t done, though. She finally issued a decree immediately severing all students who attended the demonstration, both inside and outside the courtyard, and imposing a campus ban on all non-students.
