Jury Questionnaire for Trump’s Hush Money Criminal Trial Released by Judge

The judge tasked with the former president Donald Trump’s future criminal trial in Manhattan with the release of a seven-page judge questionnaire.

According to ABC News, Judge Juan Merchan released a survey on Monday that includes 42 issues he may question judges as part of the selection process for the test. The trial, which starts on April 15, is focused on reported hush-money payment Trump made to Stormy Daniels for adult entertainment during the 2016 presidential vote.

Even new: Justice Merchan today released his juror questionnaire along with the selection process for the former president’s judges in New York.

In one question on the survey, judges are asked which “print magazines, cable and/or system courses, or online advertising” they read or have watched. Answers to the questions include the New York Times, USA Today, Huffington Post, Facebook, New York Post, Fox News, or Newsmax.

Another problem asks if jury, or a relative or close pal, have “ever worked or volunteered for a Trump national campaign, the Trump national management, or any other social institution affiliated with Mr. Trump”.

Have you ever attended a Donald Trump rally or promotion event? another topic asks.

Other concerns ask if any of the judges have followed, or are now following, Trump on social media, and if they have “feelings or thoughts about how Mr. Trump is being treated in this case”.

Jurors are also asked about their “interests or hobbies” and how big their current employer is.

Trump’s attorneys claim that Merchan’s appointment as trial director was in conflict of interest because his daughter is a Democratic political consultant, just days before the trial was scheduled to begin.

Trump was accused of 34 counts of falsifying business records by Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg a year ago.
