Vanderbilt student arrested and expelled for role in anti-Israel sit-in has ties to White House

One of three Vanderbilt University students was detained this week for supposedly assaulting a security guard in a loud anti-Israel protest in a leadership building late last month.

All three of the individuals who were detained have apparently been kicked out of the school.

Also, one student activist was suspended and 22 individuals were put on parole, the Vanderbilt Hustler student paper reported, citing social media posts by the scholar activist groups, as school officials have declined to express specifics, citing protection laws.

One of the three people who were detained and expelled is Florida local Jack Petocz. He has strongly denied touching a security guard, saying in a statement on X:” I did not reach a community service commander, nor am I somewhere near the person in the video. I’d urge you to believe a pupil activist over rich, strong, white men, but that’s your option”.

A security&nbsp, video&nbsp, published by the Tennessee school displays protesters violently entering Kirkland Hall, pushing past a security agent who tried to prevent them from entering.

Petocz, a rookie, is a former campaigner, even at quite a young age. He justified his actions, and blamed the class for its actions, in a stream on X. He claimed that because students were “peacefully protesting the murder in Palestine,” it was inappropriate to arrest and dismiss them.

The 19- season- older is a semi- expert agitator, according to Red State, which described him as an informative exemplar of” the numerous astroturf protests around the country”.

Petocz started organizing in 2020 after his home contracted Covid. He got angry with a member of the local school board who he believed was “recklessly tweeting COVID propaganda.” He started the Recall Flagler County School Board motion,” but immediately turned his concentrate toward advancing extreme agendas”, Red State reported.

By the fall of 2021, Petocz was busy protesting against members of the local school board who wanted to outlaw biologically charged books from the high school libraries. His activism attracted the attention of the New York Times, which featured him in a front-page post about the left-wing’s response to traditional pressure on school boards in January 2022.

As an vocal queer scholar, he fought certain book prohibitions on gay men books.

” As a gay scholar myself, those ebooks are so important for children, for sense there are sources for them”, he said, noting that books that describe homosexual romances are rarely challenged. ” I felt it was very discriminatory”.

When the” ‘ ( manufactured ) hubbub ‘ over Gov. Ron DeSantis’s alleged’ Do n’t Say Gay ‘ bill erupted in Florida, Petocz jumped right into the fray, organizing a statewide walkout in Florida high schools (around 30 schools participated, according to an interview Petocz gave NBC News ),'” Red State reported.

Petocz received a suspended sentence for his actions, including for dispensing 200 pride flags at the rally after his principal had advised him against doing so.

Petrocz received a prestigious award for free speech from PEN America, a free speech advocacy organization, despite being suspended from his permanent record. After a fawning profile in Teen Vogue, he was invited to the White House to meet President Joe Biden and attend the signing ceremony for Biden’s Executive Order on Advancing Equality for Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, and Intersex Individuals. He was photographed with all the party bigwigs in front of him.

According to Red State, he worked with Gen Z For Change, a radical activist group, to try to defeat DeSantis in the 2022 gubernatorial election in Florida. Then he finished up high school, and went off to Vanderbilt, having visited the White House a couple of more times in the interim, according to his social media posts.

Hi! My name is Jack Petocz, I’m the 17- year- old student activist who led nationwide walkouts against the” Do n’t Say Gay” bill. This experience was truly special to me despite being bullied out of school, harassed in public, and doxxed. I’ll keep fighting ❤ ️ pic. twitter.com/DGksCMTWHS

Naturally, as a freshman at Vanderbilt, Petocz joined Students for Justice in Palestine in time for this past fall’s protests against Israel. He has since been kicked out of Vanderbilt because he protested against BDS or the Boycott, Divest, and Sanctions movement.

In the 2020s, a radical leftist in America will move from pro-Hamas politics against Israel to radical pro-Israel. What Petocz does next is still up for grabs.
