In response to the actions of the United States and its allies, China is finding it increasingly difficult to obtain the most advanced semiconductors and the manufacturing systems necessary. Even at leading global conferences on artificial intelligence ( AI), where China-related topics have radically changed, are these changes discernible.
The Biden presidency made a revision of the laws on March 29 that would put an additional restriction on China’s ability to purchase British AI cards and the tools needed to produce them. These amendments strengthen those that were first introduced a year prior and were intended to stop China’s export of superior AI chips created by companies like Nvidia. The United States has problems that the technological advancements in China could improve the military skill of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP).
