The Moon ‘Is Made Up Mostly of Gases,’ Sheila Jackson Lee Tells Students

While Democrats and leftist environmentalists decry liberals for supposedly peddling “misinformation” about” the Science â„¢” related to weather, COVID, and women ( there are two, FYI), their own Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee of Texas is out and about telling components some real untruths about the solar eclipse. &nbsp,

She attempted to explain the workings of the solar system in a scientific manner at an event she claims to have” created” on Monday at Booker T. Washington High School in her Houston-area city, but any students who listened are going to crash Science 101. &nbsp,

I had the privilege of giving the individuals at Booker T. Washington High School a special knowledge and solar practice today.

Jackson Lee tried to explain to visitors that “you have the power of the moon at night” but it does n’t release energy at night; it is just reflecting sunlight.

” And maybe you’ve heard the word ‘ full sun,'” she continued. A” full round circle which is mostly composed of gases,” according to the Yale student, “might occasionally be taken simply to come out and see a complete moon.”

Huh? The sky is, well, good. That’s why pilots is… land on it. The moon has a significant lack of gases, so the Apollo astronauts were required to wear space suits to prevent detonation while they were on the ground. &nbsp,

Democrat Rep. Sheila Jackson Lee: It’s “almost impossible to go near the sun”, but the “moon is more manageable” because it’s “made up mostly of gases” ( it is n’t ) pic. twitter.com/0t8CPI4QzW— RNC Research ( @RNCResearch ) April 9, 2024

Undaunted, Jackson Lee continued, saying” that’s why the question is why — or how — had we as humans live on the sky. The agent who formerly served on the House’s Science Committee and Space and Aeronautics Committee asserted that the oil is capable of doing that. The star’s “weak ambiance and its absence of liquid water cannot support life as we know it,” according to NASA, but Jackson Lee appears to know it. &nbsp,

Jackson Lee continued on her divine journey by stating that the moon is” a mighty steam and it’s almost impossible to get near the sun” while the moon is “more manageable.” What a reduction? &nbsp,

Finally, students will recall viewing Monday’s solar eclipse — and immediately forget Jackson Lee’s uncertain astronomy lesson. &nbsp,

Importantly, this is not Jackson Lee’s first occasion of celestial confusion. According to a 1997 Texas Monthly article, the congresswoman again inquired whether our Mars rover had the ability to photograph the American flag planted it by Neil Armstrong.

Jackson Lee, whose neighborhood borders the Johnson Space Center, is a member of the House Committee on Science, so it was appropriate for her to spend some time away from home visiting the Pasadena, California Mars Pathfinder Operations Center. Jackson Lee inquired if the Pathfinder was able to capture images of the American flag planted on Mars by Neil Armstrong in 1969, according to an essay by Sandy Hume in The Hill, a regular newspaper covering Congress. Of course, Armstrong planted the flag on the Moon, as any large schooler should be able to inform you, allow only a 47- year- ancient Yale graduate.
