
A Scottish man who was reported to the local police for being armed on a train ended up being a cosplayer while attending a comic book convention dressed as a” Star Wars” stormtrooper in a kilt.
When British Travel Officers received a call about a gunman with a plaid at 9 a.m. on Saturday, the person, who uses the name” Grampian Stormtrooper” on social media, was waiting at the Aberdeen coach station in his Imperial dress and suit.
The train turned around as a result of the call, but authorities later revealed to AberdeenLive that it was a “false alarm.”
” Train stopped no longer out of place, watch came to talk asking about blast. Next asked me to go with him for chat”, the gentleman posted on Twitter.  ,” Obviously somebody reported it to police, coach went back to aberdeen”.
He claimed three British officers and two transit officials allegedly brought him into a workplace to talk about the “blaster.” Before allowing him to fly on another teach, he claimed, they forced him to get home and find a handbag to set the fake gun in.
On the coach, authorities instructed him not to use the trooper costume. He claimed that this was the first time he’s been approached by authorities in ten years while wearing the match.
” Mad world we live in. Been doing it 10 times second occasion any problem with troopers blaster”, he wrote.
British Travel Police confirmed the event.
A BTP spokesperson said a man with a gun was reported to have entered Aberdeen station just before 9 a.m. on Saturday ( April 6 ) according to a BTP spokesperson. ” Officers showed up alongside associates from Police Scotland, and it was determined it was a fake alarm,” said one officer.
