Manchin: Hamas Likes to Take Aid, They’ve Ensured Palestinians Have No Quality of Life

Sen. Joe Manchin (D-WV ) stated on Wednesday’s Fox News Channel” Special Report” that it is absurd to expect Israel to “allow Hamas to reload” without receiving anything in exchange and that Hamas likes to steal aid has robbed Palestine of all the necessities that they have needed to have any quality of life.

How would you expect Israel or any other country that has been barbarically attacked to respond in the manner that they were supposed to and say, at least, “give us our hostages, give us our citizens back, we’ll sit down, maybe we can work through this, but we’re going to wipe out Hamas one way or another with the least amount of infliction on the innocent citizens,” Manchin said. [ Related remarks begin at 2:15 ] It’s terrible they’re caught in between. I’ve tried to describe what I understand. When countries — civilized countries go to war because of disputes, there]are ] basically the rules of war, when we use our military machinery, our military might to protect our citizens. When criminal groups engage in combat or battle, they use their innocent victims to defend their objectives. That’s what you’re dealing with, and you have to know that”.

He continued,” To ask them to stand down and allow Hamas to reload without getting anything in return — and I said I’d be the first one that would encourage, let’s basically, — we got our hostages all back, sit down, let’s work through this, get the Arab]s ] and the Egyptians and the Arab Muslim countries to basically come into that part of the world. But to question them never to give something back but to stand down and allow them to reload, and to make sure that we can determine and ensure that the proper people receive the medical assistance that is needed, rather than the military, who will use it. Has generally depleted that nation of all the requirements that they have required to have any quality of life.

Guest Bret Baier next said,” We may say, Hamas rejected the latest sell”. That was acknowledged by Manchin.
