A shooting at a Philadelphia Ramadan party on Wednesday caused numerous injuries. Three people were shot, according to Philadelphia officers, and five people were detained.

According to Fox 29, about 1, 000 people were at Wednesday’s Eid cetera- Fitr event in Philadelphia to commemorate the end of the Muslim month of Ramadan. Authorities explained that three people were shot at 2: 26 p. m. at the occasion, which was being held near the 4700 wall of Wyalusing Avenue.

According to Philadelphia Police Department leaders, about 30 shots were fired during the shooting incident. A 15-year-old child was one of the three persons who were shot on Wednesday. When the 15-year-old was ordered to cut a rifle and refused to comply, a police commander shot him in the left shoulder and left knee, according to Philadelphia Police Commissioner Kevin Bethel.

Bethel explained that the 15- yr- old was rapidly transported by the authorities to the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where the boy was after listed in steady condition.

Another 15-year-old was shot in the proper ring finger by Philadelphia Fire Department medical personnel and taken to Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia. Also, a 22- season- old man was shot in the stomach and transported by officers officers to Penn Presbyterian Hospital. Both the 15- year- ancient and the 22- yr- aged were listed in steady condition.

A Philadelphia Police police vehicle was also hit by a 15-year-old woman while officials were responding to the shooting on Wednesday, according to Fox 29. The 15-year-old girl was taken by Philadelphia Fire Department medical staff to the Children’s Clinics of Philadelphia. The woman was in steady condition despite having a hip fracture.

According to Fox 29, Philadelphia authorities officials arrested five individuals in connection with Wednesday’s firing, including three males, one woman, and the 15- year- older boy who was shot by the police. Five weapons were also recovered from the shooting site by police officers.

Police said the suspects did not appear to be connected to the incident while the shooting occurred at the Islamic celebration taking place in a park close to the Philadelphia Masjid mosque. Instead, the police claimed that just before officers arrived on the scene, two groups were firing at one another.

The Philadelphia Police Department and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are conducting an investigation into the shooting on Wednesday, according to CBS News. Two unidentified U.S. officials confirmed that Wednesday’s shooting did not appear to be a targeted attack, according to CBS News.
