Following his passing on Wednesday due to cancer, the White House condolenced the home of former football player and professional O. J. Simpson.
After being charged and later cleared of the death of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her companion Ron Goldman in 1995, Simpson, who won a Heisman Trophy playing at the University of Southern California before beginning a Hall of Fame NFL career, divided the country.
” Our thoughts are with his people through this tough time, evidently his relatives and loved ones”, White House press secretary , Karine Jean- Pierre , told reporters on Thursday when asked about Simpson’s death and if he had always interacted with President , Joe Biden. ” And I’ll say this. We will honor their request for some privacy, as I am aware of. I’ll just left it it”.

Simpson’s home announced on X on Thursday that he had died on Wednesday.
” On April 10th, our parents, Orenthal James Simpson, succumbed to his battle with cancer. He was surrounded by his kids and grandchildren”, the household wrote in a statement. His family requests that you kindly follow their wishes for protection and joy during this transition.
Although Simpson had no ties to former president Donald Trump, he always supported any of the latter’s presidential requests.
Simpson reportedly invoked Trump’s title when he denied reports that he had been moved into a hospital as a result of his struggle with cancers.
