A man named Dexter Reed from the middle of his 20s was charged last year with three counts of aggravated unlawful use of a tool and one matter of ownership of a firearm while holding a revoked” Firearms Owners Identification Card,” which is required in the state of Illinois before you can have a tool or weapons. Because no one actually spends time in jail in Illinois again, Reed was completely on pretrial release for these criminal charges as late as this past March.
It goes without saying that any living person who was eventually charged with these offences may try to settle down for a while at that point. Perhaps they’d maintain their illegal weapons at house, for instance. But Dexter Reed did not choose that method because he’s hardly a functioning member of society. Otherwise, Reed took a drive in an SUV in March while wearing a ski helmet and a gun.  ,
That’s when police say they noticed that Reed was breaking still another laws: he was n’t wearing a helmet. This is what transpired rather than cooperating with the customers quit. I’m going to use authorities body cameras to record two different perspectives of this tragedy. The second system rod is from an officer who was shot as this emerged. Watch:

It’s apparent from this film that Dexter Reed is wearing a ski helmet and he’s not cooperating with the soldiers. They direct him to unlock the door and prevent stumbling up the windows, but he persists for a while. Then the soldiers notice things that obviously frightens them about their lives. They back away, and bullets begin ringing out. One official survives after being struck in the elbow.
According to the Chicago Sun Times,” Alderman Brian Hopkins, president of the City Council’s Public Safety Committee, said he was told that 26-year-old Reed fired 11 shots through his car windows in what Hopkins called an attempt to kill police officials.” An empty weapon was recovered at the picture, Hopkins said”. Before he was ultimately shot dead, he fired 11 shells at these officers officials.
Authorities are also conducting an investigation into this shooting at this time. But Chicago’s Civilian Office of Police Accountability has determined that the information” appears to confirm” that Reed fired the first shot. And the picture itself quite clearly demonstrates that.

One social media users on Twitter, the profile” Expose Them,” synced up images from two of the body cam that Chicago authorities have released. I only displayed the commander who was hit with the best bodycam. A second officer on the picture is the one with the other bodycam. You can see that the second agent gets hit before the other soldiers fire:

The officials defended themselves, according to the film, which is quite clear. They ought to completely wrap up the discussion. But that has n’t happened, because even before these body cams were released, professional agitators engaged in a concerted effort to turn Dexter Reed into a martyr.
This weekend, a former Chicago mayor candidate and Black activist named Ja’Mal Green began making claims on social media that the footage do depict an “execution.” He even “advised” about potential riots, which is, of course, what Ja’Mal Green wants to occur.
And Green’s plan appears to be working, at least so much.
This year, people stormed up outside a police station to scold officers and engage in some of the most tense exchanges imaginable. Watch:

So they’re saying the cops could n’t possibly have known whether he was breaking the seat belt law, because he was driving with heavily tinted windows, which is also against the law.
Even though they only provided an extra reason for police to want to move this guy over, this is reportedly seen as a checkmate in BLM circles.
Then they refute their claim that “armed officials” are necessary to maintain seat belt regulations. Also, evidently that is, particularly in a town like Chicago— because you never know when someone who’s never wearing a seatbelt might be out of jail on a felony gun charge, however packing heat and wearing a ski mask and ready to take at you for no reason.
In any case, all of that is unimportant. Perhaps if they had no reason to pull him over, which they did, it still seems to me to be a defense against him shooting at the police. You do n’t get to shoot at the cops if you disagree with their reason for stopping you. Before, I’ve been pulled over for a belt obstruct. I found it obnoxious. I always considered death as a response.
However, Dexter Reed is still being pushed to describe him as a prey because none of this is actually about the details. Academically oriented groups are also getting involved. An American professor at Amherst named” Frank Leon Roberts “wrote on cultural advertising:
Dexter Reed was his title. Murdered by the Chicago Police Department in broad sun. 96 photos in 41 moments. 26 yrs older. His sin was not putting his helmet on. This is America. Destroy and dismantle the officers.
The professor deleted the tweet a few hours later and deleted his entire Twitter account, perhaps because it was a little too ridiculous, yet by Amherst’s standards. But it was n’t too absurd for the corporate press. Additionally, they have done everything in their power to describe the authorities as the aggressors in this situation.
For instance, consider how the Washington Post covered Dexter Reed’s customers stop. The article reads:” Police fireplace 96 shots in 41 seconds, killing Black person during traffic quit.”
There is no mention of Dexter Reed’s actions during the traffic stop, therefore. He does n’t mention firing on police officers, either. In fact, if you read the story, you wo n’t find any mention of Dexter Reed shooting his handgun until the eighth paragraph of the story. That is not an exaggeration. They simply ignore it until eight paragraphs in.
Instead, here’s what the Washington Post talks about first. This is the article’s introduction. It’s as outrageous and over the top as they could have made it:
Dexter Reed’s mother remembers the last time she saw her son alive. …”””””””””””””””””””””””””””’ Dexter’s mother, Nicole Banks, [said ] on Tuesday as she broke down in tears as she was riding around in his car. They killed him.’
This is the video that they’re referencing:

So Reed’s mother is crying and panting while attending press conferences. I’m sure she is legitimately distraught given that her child was killed. There is no self-analysis or honest reflection, though, where she continues to wonder how she raised a child who would abandon his life for no reason during a traffic stop. Instead, she blatantly misbehaves with the police, and the lawsuit, I’m certain, will follow suit. And the Washington Post decides to lead with this, instead of an accurate description of what happened during the traffic stop.
It’s difficult to imagine a more purposefully dishonest way to describe an attempted cop-killer’s actions. The Post includes a gigantic photo of Dexter Reed at some graduation ceremony from 535 years ago at the top of the article just for fun. They leave off his mug shot from his felony firearms arrest. This is how the BLM martyrs are always treated. For any reason, you never see graduation photos of anyone who makes the news, unless it’s a black man who was killed by the police.
On Twitter, a writer named Daniel Friedman pointed out the history of this tactic. It started after Michael Brown was shot ten years ago after attempting to take his gun in a fight with a police officer. Newspapers covered Brown on Facebook before using unflattering images of him flashing gang signs in their coverage.
As Friedman writes”, Black Twitter reacted angrily. They claimed that Brown’s image was being used in the media to stifle perception. #if they gunned me down was a popular hashtag for college students and professionals posting images of themselves clad as thugs in support of Brown.
So the media relented and swapped out the thug photos for graduation photos. And they’ve been doing that ever since.
The Washington Post was not the only one to whitewash Reed’s actions in this case. CNN , ran a similar headline that made no mention of Dexter Reed shooting at officers:” 96 shots fired in a fatal traffic stop. Here’s what the bodycam video reveals. Deadly Chicago traffic stop where police fired 96 shots raises serious questions about use of force, according to” The AP reported.”
It’s almost comical when you picture the editors carefully trying to construct these headlines so that they do n’t mention the elephant in the room. It’s similar to trying to describe the Titanic’s first voyage without going into detail about the iceberg theory.
But if I did n’t mention the Daily Mail, I would be remiss if I mocked the ridiculous coverage of this episode in the media. They chose to portray Dexter Reed as an” aspiring broadcaster. He’s the next Tom Brokaw, according to the article, so he’s not a police officer who kills people.
On Tuesday, Chicago Police released video of the March 21 shooting that showed them firing 96 shots at Reed while he lay motionless on the ground outside his car. The aspiring broadcaster’s death has reignited conversations around excessive police force against black people, though officers maintain Reed opened fire first.
At least they finally make it sound like the officers were defending themselves. So there you have that. It’s easy to laugh at how absurd this is, but there’s a point to it. Before the election, BLM and their allies in the media are desperate to find a new George Floyd. They are aware that Democrats have a real chance of losing control in November. So they’re using the same tactics they did four years ago.
According to what we were told, George Floyd was n’t a drug user, thief, and home invader. They claimed he was a “gentle giant” trying to “get his life back on track.” ” Now we’re expected to believe that Dexter Reed is also some misunderstood pillar of the local community, instead of the degenerate he is. The intention is to stoke riots, enthral everyone, force a “national reckoning on race,” and encourage more of their subpar allies to take on powerful positions. And they intend to do it all by fabricating a dead thug.
This is a strategy we’re seeing more and more often as the election approaches. For instance, the media attempted to stoke riots over the shooting death of Leonard Cure, a man who attempted to kill a police officer while filming a traffic stop. This is uncontested in all respects. It’s on tape. Watch:
embedded content ]
Following that footage, the Washington Post headline reads,” Deputy fatally shoots man who served 16 years for wrongful conviction. ” The article begins:” Leonard Cure, who was exonerated in 2020, was killed by a Georgia sheriff’s deputy during a traffic stop Monday… The deputy used a Taser and a baton before shooting Cure.”
The Post did n’t make a mention of Cure’s attempted murder of the deputy until 14 paragraphs into the story. Even so, they go as far as they can to describe it. They say Cure was” forcefully grappling with the deputy and pushing the deputy’s head back with his hand. The Post claims that he was trying to choke the officer to death by doing that. And of course, Ben Crump came out and said Cure had been shot for being black.
That effort did n’t catch on in quite the way the media and BLM activists had hoped. They are now attempting again. And they’ll try until either of two things occur. Either they get the riots they want and terrorize millions of people into voting for Democrats out of fear — or, for once, normal, sane people stand up and say what’s obvious. And that’s because Leonard Cure, Leonard Cure, and all of these “BLM” heroes are the dregs of society, too. They are not victims and they are not role models. They are, in fact, the cause of many serious problems that cities like Chicago are experiencing right now. Only that message can put an end to these riots before they start, and prevent another example of the kind of plunder that happened in 2020. Even if they’re afraid to say it, it’s a message that most Americans believe. But as unpleasant as it may be, it’s time we started saying it.
