The Harris County Sheriff’s Office claims that a Texas high school hairdressing teacher and her brother are responsible for powerful prostitution and child sexual trafficking. &nbsp,

Kedria Grigsby, 42, a hairdressing professor at Klein Cain High School, was arrested Monday, Harris County Sheriff Ed Gonzalez said in a blog to X. Her brother, Roger Magee, 21, was arrested in November 2022 for prostitution and adultery.

Grigsby is accused of three counts of forcing trafficking of minors and three counts of trafficking a kid. Gonzalez said there are at least three victims in the case, including a 15- year- older, 16- yr- old, and 17- year- older who were reported runaways. He claimed that Grigsby “assisted her child,” who is still imprisoned. &nbsp,

Gonzalez said that it appears Grigsby offered troubled youths from nearby high colleges a hotel as a place to stay. Additional teen sufferers have reported that Grigsby was trying to recruit them while they were still in school, according to &nbsp.

Today, the @HCSOTexas Criminal Investigations &amp, Security Division corroborated with @kleinisdpd in arresting Klein ISD teacher, Kedria M. Grigsby ( 01- 31- 82 ) for allegedly trafficking of a child ( 3 counts ) and compelling prostitution of juveniles ( 3 counts ). The

Authorities claimed that Grigsby and her son were reportedly working on a “prostitution business” according to a report to Click2Houston. According to the report, investigators discovered text messages between Grigsby and her child, as well as her child, and the three juveniles that discussed “prostitution fees.”

” They say Grigsby paid for at least one hotel room, and as an officer was inside that room investigating, one of the victims walked in, but ran out and got into Grigsby’s car”, the report continues. &nbsp,

Gonzalez reported that Grigsby had been detained in Harris County. On Tuesday, she waived her court look, but her friendship was set at$ 750, 000 —$ 125, 000 for each cost of sex trafficking and powerful prostitution.

According to the report, “prosecutors claim they anticipate more subjects to come forward and more fees to get brought.” &nbsp,

Grigsby was hired during the 2019-2020 school year and “passed a express history check at the time,” Klein ISD officials told the outlet via email. After the coroner’s office received a notification of her impending imprisonment, the district claimed she had been relieved of her teaching duties. Later that evening, the city notified families, according to the report. The text read:

As soon as we were notified of this information, the region took urgent action, apprehended, and soon placed Ms. Grigsby on administrative leave. At the conclusion of the research, Klein ISD does make NO attempt to return this individual to Klein Cain or any other Klein ISD school. We will also make a statement to all relevant organizations.

Klein Cain High School’s spokesperson told The Daily Mail,” Let us be clear: any conduct harming children is terrible, and we will often totally cooperate with our numerous law enforcement partners to ensure people engaging in such deeds is brought to justice.”

Texas Gov. Greg Abbott ( R ) made a comment on the incident, citing the arrests as evidence for choice of schools.

” Some of our teachers are abusing and ugly,” the statement read. No kid should be made to believe that this is a state-funded class, Abbott wrote in a blog to X. ” And yes, current law does n’t allow the choice to go elsewhere. I’m attempting to appoint state representatives who will alter that.

Some of our teachers are abhorrent and dishonest.

No kid may feel compelled to attend a university like this by the state.

And yet, current law does n’t allow the choice to go elsewhere.

I’m attempting to appoint state representatives who will alter that. https ://t.co/sHdi062Jgx

Grigsby’s” About Me” page from her education apparently said she has over 17 years of experience in the beauty industry, according to The Daily Mail.

” I have a passion for developing people away and watching them ascend.” I am here to support achieve every goal and break through impediments”, Grigsby said.
