O. J. Simpson “represented something for the dark area in that time in that trial, especially because there were two white persons who had been killed,” according to CNN political commentator Ashley Allison on” News Central.”
Allison said,” I posted someone on social media next day about what was your talk about, what was your house like in 1995 when the verdict was over, and what was it like last nights when we learned O. J. died?” It still has a culture underlying, in my opinion. The issue is the cause of the high charge in that case. I watched the conviction in seventh grade and witnessed it. I was glad. I do n’t believe I understood who was at fault in who was n’t. I was a kid. I probably should n’t have been watching the case of two people getting killed at the end of the day.
She continued,” It was so culturally charged because Rodney King and what had just happened prior to that,” as well as how black Americans view surveillance. O. J. Simpson was n’t the head of the civil rights movement of his time, because he was, you know, a social justice head, but he did have a role in that trial because there were two white persons who had been killed and the history of black people being persecuted during slavery. There was just so numerous pieces”.
We will always have moments like an O. J. Simpson manifest, and our country will always be divided if we do n’t actually address the issue of race, she continued,” I would just close this is that there was racial tension then there’s racial tension now, it might not be the backdrop of the Trump campaign, but until this country is ready to have an honest conversation about the racial dynamics from our origin story until now, we will always have moments that manifest.”
