A bill for conservative Twitter that included new NPR CEO Katherine Maher’s tweets drew a New York Times article ( which is n’t in the paper ) and was published by conservative Twitter. The article was gentle and addressed criticism of” Posts Supporting Progressive Reasons.” “
One that featured Maher wearing a “hat with the symbol for the Trump national plan” was noticed by Benjamin Mullin. ” ( He left out the Covid mask ). He also noticed this beautiful statement :
” As a result of a dream, Kamala and I were driving through an unknown area, sampling and comparing beans and baklava from roadside stands. Woke up quite eager. “
Isabel Lara, a spokesperson for NPR, refuted Maher’s claim that she “was exercising her First Amendment rights as any other American citizen at the time and was not working in media at the time.” ” Now she is “fully committed to NPR’s code of ethics and the freedom of NPR’s newspaper. ” Maher repeated that line: Radio is separate, beholden to no party, and without professional interests. “
But just like her posts, our research of Maher’s promotion efforts show she’s a fan of the Democrat Party :
— In 2017,$ 1,500 to former senator Tom Perriello in an unsuccessful run for governor of Virginia.
— In 2018,$ 500 to Matthew Brown in an unsuccessful run for governor of Rhode Island.
— In 2020, it was a year for women of color:$ 275 ( in 11 donations of$ 25 ) to Jennifer Carroll Foy in an unsuccessful run for governor of Virginia,$ 100 to MSNBC pundit Maya Wiley in an unsuccessful run for mayor of New York City, and$ 500 to the “Fair Fight PAC” of election-denying leftist Stacey Abrams , who also thinks she won the governor’s race in Georgia in 2018.
That’s when Democratic media circles were great with denying elections.
Mullin’s story ended with Maher at a” city hall-style meeting” with Radio people, and naturally, she was asked about NBC’s ill-fated decision to give a source gambling to former RNC head Ronna McDaniel, who was too near to election deniers. Maher proclaimed I believe that the most effective way to watch this play out is to be extraordinarily well-prepared to push back and very well-prepared with the necessary information, the irreducible facts, if you are inserting someone into a story that is pushing a deliberate distortion. ” Take that, Stacey Abrams?
PS: Christopher Rufo appeared on Fox News to underline Maher’s wokeness :
Fox’s Jesse Watters brings on Chris Rufo to describe NPR CEO Katherine Maher’s old tweets:” It is the most vapid left-wing propaganda imaginable… . It’s like Mad Libs for Left-Wing women. “
I hope @davidfolkenflik can realize if this sounds one-sided… . what is NPR? pic. twitter. com/d9NntyCTR5
