An Arizona grand jury indicted a lady who accused former MLB jug Trevor Bauer of physical assault on suspicion of bribery and fraud.
According to the prosecution, which was filed Monday in Maricopa County Superior Court and quoted by ESPN, Darcy Adanna Esemonu “knowingly did receive a profit from … Trevor Anthony Bauer by means of false pretenses, picture, promises, or fabric omissions. Esemonu was also accused of having extorted money from a separate individual who was n’t affiliated with Bauer in connection with matters in which she “knowingly obtained or sought to obtain property or services. ”
Esemonu allegedly sued Bauer in 2022, alleging that he sexually assaulted her in 2020, leading to an “unplanned gestation,” according to ESPN. While Bauer disclosed in court papers that he and Esemonu had intimate relations, he maintained that it was “a one intimate experience” and “consensual. In response, Bauer argued that Esemonu’s charges were false and that they were merely an attempt to extort money in the wake of additional sexual assault accusations made against him.
Bauer allegedly sent Esemonu allegedly a text message that read,” This is the one who initiated their face,” in a film released on X on Tuesday. Esemonu, the former Los Angeles Dodgers pitcher, is quoted in several emails in the video that Bauer claims were from him, such as,” Can I Sleep With You” and” I Just Want to Sleep Second to You Again… I’ll be very quiet, promise. ”
“At one point, she even requested a sample of my sperm so she could ‘have my child ’ whenever she wanted to in the future, ” Bauer claimed.
Esemonu demanded$ 3, according to Bauer. $ 6 million from him, claiming that I forced her to have an abortion and that I turned down her payment of$ 3. She filed a civil lawsuit against me and made up a fictitious sexual assault say for$ 6 million she was asking for. According to police reports that include law enforcement conversations with Esemonu, she initially stated she had a pregnancy, but later admitted to having an abortion. According to ESPN, Esemonu likewise told the detective in the case that she miscarried just before going to a doctor in another state.
Despite her claims, the detective noted that Esemonu’s health data “do no indicate” if she “was in fact female. Bauer claims that Esemonu’s videos contains a picture of what appears to be unfavorable pregnancy tests.
She never had an abortion “because she was never even pregnant, ” Bauer claimed.

Lindsey Hill is one of the three people who have recently accused Bauer of physical abuse in recent years in addition to Esemonu. Bauer and Hill settled in court late last year, according to a report from The Federalist, after which Bauer “released a number of text messages and videos that purportedly came from the discovery process that appear to acquit him from crime.” According to Bauer, the alleged writings that Hill received included in a film that he posted purport to show Hill had planned to meet him and demand money from him.
Bauer was suspended by the MLB for 324 games in 2021 despite his neglect of the complaints and his claim that the fights were consensual. That was gradually cut down to 194 in December 2022. The Dodgers — which honored an anti-Christian bring party at their 2023 summertime “pride” game — dropped a member of their squad over the complaints in January 2023.
According to Bauer, the previous MLB pitcher’s remaining accusers have so far no filed lawsuits against him or participated in Esemonu’s or Hill’s individual legal proceedings since officially releasing their allegations.
I’m not sure what more I can do to prove my innocence in this situation. I did not accomplish what I was accused of, ” Bauer said. “Every organisation that our nation has entrusted to act on issues like these, like courts, judges, law enforcement officers, lawyers — they all agree with me. They have rejected every individual claim made against me. … If any proof of any of these claims really existed, I had ’ve been charged, or at the very least, arrested. But that never happened. ”
When will I be able to return to work and continue to make money? ” he added.
