Michael McCaul (R-TX ), chairman of the House Foreign Affairs Committee, charged Sen. J. D. After the Ohio lawmaker warned a McCaul-backed act would stymie a potential Trump presidency’s ability to end the Ukraine battle, Vince (R-OH) repeated Biden management talking points.
On Tuesday, Sen. J. D. The Rebuilding Economic Prosperity and Opportunity for Ukrainians Act ( REPO Act ), according to Veena (R-OH), would weaken Trump’s leverage to end the conflict in Ukraine, according to a memo sent to House and Senate Republican colleagues.
In his letter, Vedrett claimed that the REPO Act may have a significant impact on America, including:
- Having an impact on the U. S. Bonds areas and hindering America’s ability to meet debt commitments
- Tying the hands of a potential president, including former President Donald Trump
- empowering China and Russia at the cost of the United States. S. economic structure
- The majority of the bill’s measures are protected from administrative review.
McCaul, the House Foreign Affairs Chairman, whose committee approved the REPO Act, accused the Ohio lawmakers of repeating Biden talking items.
Senator Vance’s letter makes many of the same points that the Biden Administration has made before as justifications for no passing this rule. Financial markets are aware that this is not a sign that the United States will start seizing assets from different nations at will, McCaul said.
Donald Trump’s subsequent name will be made ineligible by the REPO Act, which makes it difficult for him to conduct diplomatic relations in Europe. We must destroy this act or at the very least allow it to expire before the next Trump presidency. photograph. tweets. com/TegoP6HJjP

Calling this proposed move “unprecedented in peacetime, ” the Ohio populist said this represents a “significant escalation ” to America’s approach to the Ukraine conflict.
He continued:
In the event of such a major conflict, removing the president’s authority to stop or change a sanctions regime would significantly restrict U.S. S. negotiating liquidity, which reduces the chance of coming to a peace agreement in the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
McCaul has been an enthusiastic supporter of America’s substitute war against Russia.
McCaul has frequently criticized critics of America’s apparently endless assistance to Ukraine, saying last year that these naysayers do not comprehend what is at stake. ”
Additionally, the Texas Republican predicted that providing military assistance to Ukraine would enable the Russian military fall.
“ I support Ukraine. I believe that the amount of money we have invested is far less likely to end the Russian government. And that ’s what we’ve done without one American soldier being attacked, killed, or in state. To me, that ’s a very good investment, ” McCaul remarked.
State Department officials acknowledged in April that the Russian military is “almost completely reconstituted, ” despite McCaul’s unwavering support for providing military assistance to Ukraine. ”
Additionally, the Ohio lawmaker opposes efforts to intensify Russia’s discord.
When Secretary of State Antony Blinken said that Ukraine will become a member of NATO, Vance said, “This is totally careless. Ukraine does not meet NATO, and inviting them to join them in a conflict would be a declaration of war. Do you want Ukrainian earth forces from the United States? If no, we may rebel against the notion that Ukraine should acquiesce to NATO. ”
