A pregnant woman who was hospitalized on Monday because of “health complications ” on a Disney Fantasy cruise ship is captured on a viral video. The Coast Guard flew the pregnant woman to an MH-60T Jayhawk aircraft to bring her to safety.

In a Tuesday press release, the Coast Guard announced, “A Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk aircraft crew conducted a pilot for a Disney Fantasy sail ship customer, Monday, in the Atlantic Ocean 180 km north of Aguadilla, Puerto Rico. ”

The crew airlifted a 35-year-old pregnant woman who had “health complications” and was determined to require a “higher amount of medical care ” than the health care on the boat ship. The Coast Guard confirmed that the woman was a U.S. citizen even though the identity of the pregnant woman was unknown. S. citizen.

The Disney Fantasy cruise ship was traveling 260 nautical miles from Aguadilla, Puerto Rico, according to the press release. A MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter and an HC-144 Ocean Sentry aircraft were dispatched by the Coast Guard Air Station in Miami after receiving the request for assistance.

The Coast Guard stated in the press release that the Coast Guard Jayhawk aircrew deployed their rescue swimmer to the cruise ship after they prepared a rescue basket and litter to safely hoist the patient and the cruise ship doctor aboard the aircraft.

The Coast Guard transported the 35-year-old woman to the San Juan, Puerto Rico, Fernando Luis Ribas Dominicci Airport after airlifting the woman and the doctor onto the helicopter. The patient was then transported to the Centro Medico Hospital by local emergency personnel.

“Our crew was able to quickly, safely, and efficiently execute a long-range MEDEVAC for the patient to receive the higher level of care she required, ” Lt. Cmdr. Todd Stephens said. The effectiveness of our Jayhawk helicopter and the value of good crew resource management are demonstrated in this case. ”

Ensign Michael Riccio, the Coast Guard unit leader for Monday’s operation, said the “competency ” that was displayed by both the Coast Guard crew and the Disney Fantasy crew “made all the difference ” in helping the 35-year-old woman receive the medical care she needed. “We are glad everything came together to help this passenger, ” Riccio said.

A member of the Coast Guard crew is filmed being lowered onto the Disney Fantasy cruise ship on Monday, followed by the 35-year-old woman being carefully lifted into the MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter.

A Disney cruise ship 180 miles northwest of Puerto Rico in the Atlantic Ocean was taken by the US Coast Guard to a pregnant woman.

The woman was rescued by crew on a Coast Guard MH-60T Jayhawk helicopter.
