    Man Convicted of Sex Assault, Sending White Powder and Menacing Notes to Schools Jailed

    A British man was given a maximum sentence of more than four years in prison and an additional five years for a sexual abuse in 1988 after he targeted schools and businesses with threatening letters during a six-week evil battle in 2013.

    Gary Preston sent 42 letters containing light powder, which was later discovered to get talcum powder, and threatening messages that sparked issue at the precise locations, according to a hearing at Woolwich Crown Court in west London. Some of the letters had small writings in Arabic on whitened paper, such as “Think hard, you have moments Inshallah. ”

    The large Westfield shopping locations in east and west London, Essex, south of the capital, schools and colleges, and the Premier Inn hotel at London’s Stansted Airport were just a few of the locations that were targeted in the fall of 2013.

    Preston was detained in September 2020, and he entered a guilty plea to 21 costs in August of that year.

    In January, Preston, 64, was even given a further five years and three months in prison for a split count of major indecent assault involving a weapon. 1988 at a women´s people toilet in the city of Rainham in Essex.

    According to Judge Andrew Lees, the particular sentences were to be served continuously, giving Preston a complete sentence of nine years and six months in jail.

    Preston’s defense lawyer, Steven Dyble, said at an earlier hearing his client had suffered “a cognitive decline ” in recent years but that there were “no mental issues ” that needed to be laid before the court.
