Due to a flaw that may cause the accelerator pedal to get stuck, Tesla of Elon Musk has recalled all 3,878 Cybertrucks that have been shipped so far. This raises the risk of accidents.
Elon Musk’s Tesla is reportedly facing yet another loss as it recalls all 3,878 Cybertrucks it has received so much due to a developing flaw in the throttle pedal council. The pedal can dislodge and get caught in the trim around the footwell, according to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration ( NHTSA ), which could cause unintended acceleration and accidents.
The company’s restructuring comes amid a difficult year for Tesla, which saw the loss of two senior executives and the layoff of more than 10 % of its labor. Also, Tesla asked owners to re-vote on CEO Elon Musk’s substantial payment bundle, which a judge had originally struck down earlier this year.
In recent months, Tesla halted sales while the problem was being looked into, as reports of issues with the accelerator pedal for the Cybertruck began to emerge. Tesla’s CEO, Musk, stated on X/Twitter that Tesla was “being quite cautious,” but the company confirmed to NHTSA that it had not received any reports of accidents or accidents related to the fault.
According to Tesla, the problem is the result of an unapproved change in the manufacturing process, where lubricant ( soap ) was used to aid in the assembly of the pad onto the accelerator pedal. The remaining lubricant reduced the loyalty of the sheet to the brake, causing the dislodgement.
Tesla has already begun producing cars with a new throttle pedal design in order to address the issue. It may change or modify the accelerator pedal on all current Cybertrucks. Additionally, the business is repairing damaged Cybertrucks that are in travel or waiting rooms.
