A convicted murderer who lied to Border Patrol agents about his prior criminal history showed up at the country’s southern border after being released into the country by President Joe Biden’s Department of Homeland Security ( DHS).
On September 30, 2022, Border Patrol agents arrested the 44-year-old improper alien from Colombia near San Ysidro, California, after he crossed between ports of entry. The improper alien claimed that neither law enforcement in his local Colombia nor the United States had ever been apprehended against him.
In fact, the illegal alien was sentenced to four years and four months in prison in Colombia after being found guilty of premeditated murder in April 2016.
The illegal alien was given a Notice to Appear (NTA ) by a federal immigration judge after lying to Border Patrol agents, and he was then transferred to Immigration and Customs Enforcement ( ICE ) custody on October 6, 2022.
The improper alien was finally released from ICE prison on November 1st. 10, 2022, on interim parole through the Alternatives to Detention ( ATD ) program. A year later, on Nov. 7, 2023, ICE officers learned of the improper alien’s faith in his home state for deliberate death.
In February, the Colombian state confirmed the crime conviction to ICE and on April 3, ICE agents arrested the illegal alien in Hartford, Connecticut.
According to ICE’s Todd Lyons, this Brazilian national lied to immigration officials about his aggressive past in order to enter the country. We ca n’t let murderers who have been convicted of murder enter our New England neighborhoods. ”
The illegal alien is still being held by ICE while awaiting imprisonment from the United States.
