Oklahoma Gov. In regards to signing an illegal immigration bill that would allow law enforcement to remove illegal aliens from the state, Kevin Stitt ( R ) states he is “not going to make a decision.”

Stitt stated in a media conference on Friday that if House Bill 4156 is approved by the Oklahoma Senate, he would not know whether he would sign it.

Stitt said during the press event,” I’m not going to decide whether I will sign it or not.” “There’s to several factors on, you know, what’s in the act. Our team will examine it and give it a critique. ”

When asked if he was concerned about people being separated under HB 4156, Stitt explained that while it was not his purpose, Oklahoma will continue to be a “law and get position. ”

CIUDAD JUAREZ , MEXICO - MARCH 21: Hundreds of foreigners who camped at the border, broke the fence with their hands, sticks and different tools they had, placed blankets over the spikes and entered the United States, through the area known as Gate 36 in Ciudad Juarez, Mexico on March 21, 2024. American authorities kneeled migrants waiting to be processed. On the Mexican side, an operation is implemented by the Municipal Police and the National Migration Institute, who they remained waiting for what might happen. State Representative and Majority Leader of Oklahoma. HB 4156, according to Jon Echols ( R ), would lead to the creation of a crime known as impermissible occupation for those who have entered the country illegally and remain there.

Those found guilty may receive a criminal for a second offense under the offense of unlawful occupation.

Those found guilty would also face a fine of up to$ 500, serve up to a year in jail, or possibly both, and would have 72 hours to leave the state of Oklahoma, according to Tulsa World.

“ I can’t think of another 1st world country that is not in the middle of a war that allows 10,000 people a day, unchecked, to come across their borders at a checkpoint they’re aware of, ” Echols said in a statement.

Similar payments have been passed in other states, like Texas and Iowa.

Iowa Gov. Kim Reynolds ( R ) signed  Senate Bill 2340, which became a state violence on April 10, makes unlawful immigration a express crime if a person has recently been denied access or deported. Additionally, the law allows law enforcement to return improper creatures to their home countries.

In 2023, Texas passed a similar law that was put on hold numerous instances as a few authorities voiced their opinions.
