This year, demonstrators at Columbia University chanted directly pro-terror phrases calling for the shooting of Israeli military because they were illegally occupying the school, even after a flood of prosecutions by the New York Police Department.
The video of the pro-terror chants, some of which were in Arabic, was captured by the Middle East Media Research Institute ( MEMRI ). Protesters demanded that Palestinians get killed and that Palestine get” Arab,” free of Jews.

A picture emerged of one pro-Palestinian rebel directly calling for the death of pro-Israel counter-protesters, who were carrying American and Israeli colors.
This was sent to me now from Columbia by anyone. This woman stood in front of them with the above sign because some Israeli pupils were waving Israeli and American colors.

The demonstrations coincided with Columbia University President Nemat Shafik and other school officials ‘ congressional testimony last year regarding the issue of racism on campus. They all acknowledged that there was a problem, but they were unable to reveal the liberal treatment that students and others who had broken university rules received.
Since the 1960s, Columbia has been a hub of student opposition since it was the first school where pupils occupied an administrative building in a bid to protest the Vietnam War. However, it has been a particular center of anti-Israel extremism since the time of extreme Israeli academic Edward Said, who was a professor at Columbia.
Since the Hamas terror attacks of October 7 in Manhattan, Columbia has seen explicitly antisemitic protests despite being located on the Upper West Side, which is disproportionately Jewish ( and Dominican ) in Manhattan. On Friday, an Israeli doctor posted videos of Islamic blessings at the demonstrations, suggesting the spiritual core of the presentation.
The conflict at Columbia is anticipated to continue into this month.
