Representative Tony Gonzales (R-TX ) said Sunday on CNN’s “State of the Union ” that his Republican colleagues Reps Matt Gaetz (R-FL ) and Bob Good (R-VA ) were “real scumbags. ”
Host Dana Bash said, “So, you voted well on the international support item, ” Bash addressed Gonzales. “Do you have assurance that at this point, given that it is still conceivable that Marjorie Taylor Greene may push to depart, to blow out of the Speaker’s chair, that he can thrive? ”
Gonzales said. “ He will succeed. Look, the House is a rough and noisy place, but Mike Johnson is gonna get really good. ”
He continued, “ I served 20 years in the defense. It’s my utter pride to be in Congress, but I serve with some actual morons. Matt Gaetz, he paid adolescents to have intercourse with him at medicine events. Bob Good endorsed my opponent, a known neo-Nazi. At night, these folks used to wear bright collars. Then they’re walking around with light masks in the morning. Look, it did n’t amaze me that some of these people voted against support to Israel, but I was encouraged to see by a roughly 10-to-1 indicate that Republicans supported our friends on the field. ”
According to Bachash, “Wow, fine, I may say that the federal government did investigate Matt Gaetz and those complaints and they chose not to pursue charges. ”
