Before holding a press event to denounce racism, President Joe Biden is a criminal supporter. The White House press army has established those guidelines.
Former US president Donald Trump spoke out against Germans from the floor at the White House, but the internet also claimed he was a white supremacist working with the Ku Klux Klan (KKK). No one in the press corps ever asks why he has n’t addressed the nation to condemn antisemitism, despite a statement from a deputy press secretary announcing a weekend anti-Jew harassment incident at Columbia University that evokes 1930s-era Germany.
Following testimony from school officials on Capitol Hill next year, racist presentations continued through the weekend, canceling groups at Columbia on Monday. Columbia University President Nemat “Minouche” Shafik in response to questions about the school’s commitment to protecting Israeli students in the face of heightened hatred, appeared before the House Committee on Education and the Workforce alongside three acquaintances.
“Does calling for the murder of Jews violate Columbia’s code of conduct? ” asked Rep. Suzanne Bonamici, D-Oregon.
“Yes, it does, ” said each member from the class.
Students on the university’s Manhattan campus erupted into protest the same day of the House hearing to chant “intifada, ” which means “revolution ” or “uprising. ” Historically, intifada “uprisings ” have included Islamic violence against Jews.
While every American has the right to peaceful opposition, calls for physical harassment and assault against Jewish students and the Jewish society are clearly racist, intolerable, and dangerous, according to White House assistant press secretary Andrew Bates in a statement released on Sunday afternoon.
By Sunday, when the White House released the statement through Bates, who is not even the principal press secretary, the New York Police Department ( NYPD ) had arrested and charged more than 100 demonstrators. On Sunday, a Columbia University rabbi pled with the school’s Jewish students to go home, claiming conditions on campus were unsafe.
Rabbi Elie Buechler said,” I would very strongly advise you return home as soon as possible and remain home until the reality in and around campus has dramatically improved. It is not our responsibility as Jews to make sure we are safe on campus. No one should have to endure this level of hatred, let alone at school. ”
A low-level staffer’s generic White House statement about the Columbia University situation contrasts stark with President Trump’s repeated attacks on neo-Nazi white supremacists. In 2020, Federalist Senior Editor John Davidson outlined Trump’s “long record of condemning white supremacy. ” Every time David Duke, the former grand wizard of the KKK, surfaced in the news cycle, Trump was pressured to comment.
“The press demands Trump condemn white supremacy, Trump condemns it, and the press pretends he did n’t, or that he equivocated, or that he dodged, ” Davidson wrote. No matter how many times Trump has attacked and denounced white supremacy, it will never be sufficient for the mainstream media because the purpose is to accuse him of being a racist. ”
Federalist Reporter Jordan Boyd wrote last week that all Americans heard from their flailing president and Democrat politicians in Congress was crickets. ”
Despite repeatedly condemning white supremacy, Trump still gets headlines depicting him as a racist, a white supremacist, and most recently, a “Christian nationalist ” despite the framers ’ embrace of biblical values to construct the United States. Biden needs to stay in the White House, but he can completely avoid having to discuss racist outbursts from supporters.
Even if Biden does speak out against the ongoing racist violence that some of his voters have encouraged and perpetrated, he should still be labeled a supporter of terrorism and racist violence, according to corporate media standards.
