As pro-Palestinian demonstrations continued to stoke the Ivy League organization, Columbia University canceled all in-person lessons on Monday.
The action occurred just before the hour began the Jewish trip of Easter.
According to Breitbart News, authorities detained more than 100 pro-Palestinian protesters at Columbia next week who had set up an camp on the New York City school.
The anti-Israel protesters were being held by authorities on a charge of criminal theft. They were apparently detained with no opposition.
According to the Independent, Columbia President Minouche Shafik stated in a letter to the school community on Monday that she was “deeply saddened” by what was happening on school.

I am announcing that all classes will be held virtually on Monday, Shafik said, to defuse the furor and offer us all a chance to acquire future actions.
She said faculty and staff may operate remotely, where possible, and that individuals who did n’t live on campus may be absent.
Shafik claimed that the Middle East conflict is bad and that she is aware of how many people are suffering greatly from strong spiritual affliction.
However, we don’t let one group dictate terms or attempt to obstruct significant milestones like graduation in an effort to improve their point of view, ” Shafik wrote.

A working group of supervisors, school officials and faculty is looking to find a solution to the school problems, noted Shafik, who did n’t state when in-person groups will resume.
White House assistant press secretary Andrew Bates issued a statement acknowledging that American citizens have the “right to peaceful protest, ” while adding “calls for violence and physical intimidation ” against the Jewish community are unacceptable.
