Prime Minister Rishi Sunak announced on Tuesday that he would increase defense spending to 2.5 % of GDP by 2030, stating that Britain could not be comfortable when the earth was at its most dangerous since the Cold War. Sunak said that army would receive an additional 75 billion pounds over the course of six years to increase the production of weapons, making Britain the second-largest military spender in NATO, sitting alongside Nato key Jens Stoltenberg.
