Pakistan was urged by the United States on Wednesday to take action against development networks involved in business dealings with Iran and to raise awareness of the “potential threat of sanctions.”
According to US state department principal deputy spokesperson Vedant Patel,” We’re going to continue to destroy and taking actions against development networks and related procurement activities involving weapons of mass destruction wherever they may occur.”
He advised people considering company dealing with Iran to be aware of the possibility of punishment and to acknowledge that Pakistan’s government has the authority to decide its own foreign policy objectives.
” Just let me say broadly that we advise anyone considering business dealings with Iran to be aware of the potential risk of sanctions. But unfortunately, the government of Pakistan you speak to their own international policy interests”, Patel said.
According to Patel, the restrictions were put in place because it was discovered that the organizations, which are based in China and Belarus, had provided Pakistan’s ballistic missile system with equipment and other products. He particularly mentioned that these individuals proliferated the means of their supply and the weapons of mass destruction.
Because these were individuals who proliferated the weapons of mass destruction and the methods by which they were delivered, the restrictions were put in place. These were companies based in the PRC ( People’s Republic of China ), in Belarus, and that we have witnessed to had supplied tools and other appropriate products to Pakistan’s nuclear weapon programme”, Patel said.
In mild of Egyptian President Raisi’s recent visit to Pakistan and the filing of eight diplomatic agreements, Patel made an observation about the possibility that punishment might be applied to these relations because of Iran’s standing in the global community. The agreements included topics like animal and animal health, criminal assistance in legal cases, and security issues.
The US State Department designated four organizations last week to combat weapons of mass destruction proliferators and their methods of distribution, including Belarus-based Minsk Wheel Tractor Plant and three Chinese organizations. These individuals were discovered to have provided Pakistan’s ballistic missile programme, including its long-range missile program, with missile-relevant materials.
