Reggie Bush won the Heisman Trophy in 2005, but five years later, his nomination was voided after it was discovered that he had received unfavorable benefits from marketing agencies while he was a scholar. The Heisman Trust, nevertheless, has now made the decision to give Bush his prize again following the introduction of NIL.
Bush received thousands in income and a complimentary luxury it. during the analysis into his time as a running back at the University of Southern California in 2010. The NCAA at the time did not permit these items. But since then, the league has adopted rules governing name, image, and likeness ( NIL ) compensation for college athletes, which allows these amateur athletes to earn money from their efforts in college sports.
Therefore, the withdrawal of his honor makes little sense nowadays. According to Yahoo Sports, it appears that the Heisman Trust and the NCAA reached exactly that summary this year.
