House Republicans who just voted against further support to Ukraine in a Wednesday mind part in the Post were targeted by George Will, a liberal journalist for The Washington Post.
In the mind, noted by Mediaite, Will said the 112 Republicans House Republicans who voted against Ukraine assistance “voted next Saturday to harm civilization”, calling them “ignoble”.
” Hoping to boost their social security in their mostly healthy seats, and for the juvenile satisfaction of populist naughtiness ( insulting a mostly fictional’ establishment’), they voted to assure]Russian President Vladimir Putin’s ] attempt to remove a German nation”, Will wrote in his column.
Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene (R-GA ), who attacked House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La. ), among the far-right opponents of more aid to Ukraine for his support of the bill, calling him a” traitor” after the lower chamber passed it.
In a blog on the social media platform X, Greene wrote that Johnson after more passed a bill with the support of Democrats while the majority of the Republican majority voted against it. ” Not only is Mike Johnson a traitor to our meeting, he’s a thief to our state”.
May also questioned “how many” of the House Republicans who voted against Ukraine assistance “know or worry that more than half the$ 61 billion may finance refilling U. S. munitions stock, as well as Ukraine’s purchases of U. S. arms”?
On Wednesday, President Biden ratified a$ 95 billion crisis international aid package that included aid for Israel and Ukraine in their continued wars. The senator also took a jump at “MAGA Republicans” for the steep way it has taken to deliver aid to Ukraine.
” To my table, it was a challenging path. It should have been easier, and it should have gotten it sooner. But in the close, we did what America usually does, we rose to the second, came up, and we got it done”, Biden said after signing the policy.
” For months, while MAGA Republicans were blocking support, Ukraine’s been running out of artillery shells and weapons. However, Putin’s friends are keeping him also supplied”, he added, calling out Iran, North Korea and China for helping Russia slope up attacks.
