After a controversy over his passage of Ukraine aid, speaker Mike Johnson (R-LA ) removed Instagram mentions from his official government account.
Instagram users can no longer notice the head of the thus- called” People’s House” in posts on the favorite software, a change that limits users ‘ ability to engage with Johnson’s standard account.
Politicians usually maximize their involvement with the people they serve, especially on Capitol Hill, a setting that is unusual for them.
Notably, Johnson joins Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell ( R- KY ) in turning off his mentions.

Breitbart News contacted a Johnson spokesman to inquire as to why the Speaker turned off mentions and whether the rule is final. Johnson ‘s , first article on his facebook account appears to be February 8, 2017, a fortnight after taking office.
Prior to his huge flip-flop, Johnson was a vocal proponent of additional military aid to Ukraine until a meeting with President Joe Biden on February 27 at the White House. Prior to that, Johnson had resisted the House would never consider international assistance without first addressing the border crisis, in line with the majority of Republicans.

Johnson unveiled a plan that exploited the necessity to help Israel, one of the United States ‘ enlarged supporters, hours after Iran launched missile attacks against Israel. On Saturday, the majority of Republicans in the House approved the deal, which passed.
A beautiful historic growth that largely gave the minority party control over the House floor plan was likewise passed with more Democrats in assistance than Republicans.
The Ukraine act was approved by the Senate later on Tuesday evening and signed into law by President Biden on Wednesday.
In praising Congress for giving him his second and long-awaited major foreign policy progress, Biden said,” In the end we did what America usually does, we rose to the time.”
