Ukraine announced on Thursday that it had detained a previous service member who had allegedly assisted Russian forces in their attack on the eastern Kharkiv place.
Since Russian troops invaded the nation in February 2022, Ukrainian prosecutor’s have opened thousands of cases into alleged engagement.
The Security Services of Ukraine ( SBU) said it had apprehended a man accused of” coordinating” attacks in the Kharkiv region, which borders Russia.
The think had attempted to flee to Russian-controlled place close to the front-line town of Kupiansk, according to the SBU.
The former soldier, who is accused of being an agent of Russia’s Federal Security Service ( FSB), faces up to eight years in prison, the SBU said.
