After New York’s highest court overturned his 2020 judgment for two criminal sexual assaults, humiliated Hollywood mogul Harvey Weinstein won a significant legal defeat on Thursday.
The 71- yr- ancient Weinstein was sentenced to 16 years and now resides in a Rome, New York, jail.
The New York Court of Appeals , a far-left New York Times report, found that the test prosecutor should not have allowed “prosecutors to visit as testimonies a series of people who claimed Mr. Weinstein had assaulted them — whose charges were never part of the claims against him.”
The appeals court found more mistakes and decided Weinstein had not been fairly represented, which is accurate.  , This should’ve been a 7- 0 determination to reverse.
At this point, Manhattan’s city lawyer, Trump persecutor Alvin L. Bragg, can choose to try Weinstein or offer up and deliver the renowned, Oscar- successful producer to California. Weinstein was found guilty of raping a girl in Beverly Hills in 2022, and given a sentence of 16 years.
I find this to be a typical example of framing a innocent man. The prosecutor’s decision to parade a number of women before the jury for untested sexual misconduct accusations against Weinstein is beyond absurd. Beyond discriminatory behavior, that also includes rigging a demo. Although at the time, I was surprised the judge approved of this, there was much more to it in the# MeToo witch hunt fever than just respecting the United States Constitution or a sense of fairness.
Harvey Weinstein is a animal, to put it mildly. No topic. However, even a pig deserves a fair trial, and the distinction between skewed testing and fair trials straddles little more closely with non-pigs like you and me as soon as we stop giving animals fair tests.
First of all, that” collection of ladies” who claimed Weinstein had abused them had always back up their claims in court. Just that, the prosecutor should have refused to grant their evidence.
Second, the state may show that Weinstein is guilty of the charges in topic and do so without causing the judge to be preoccupied with his previous works, even if Weinstein had been found guilty of assaulting those testimony.
I do n’t defend the likes of Harvey Weinstein, Alec Baldwin, Woody Allen, or Bill Maher because I like them. I do n’t. As a means of protecting myself, I defend their rights. I want the worst people in the world ( Weinstein, Baldwin ) and the people I disagree with most ( Allen, Maher ) to enjoy the full expression of their God- given rights, both in a court of law and in the court of public opinion. Why? Because if their rights are secure, my freedom are safe, and turning around or putting pressure on others ‘ right when they are violated only serves to draw that line closer to me.
Weinstein wo n’t be set free anytime soon. Weinstein will probably have to be imprisoned until the new trial if the fascist Bragg decides to try him. If certainly, Weinstein also has a word to assist in California.
