After the platform censored its ad promoting a new website and forum section aimed at documenting noncitizen and illegal migrant voters, American For Legal Immigration PAC ( ALIPAC ) decided to withdraw support for Elon Musk’s X/Twitter.
NonCitizenVoters.com, a site that collects information about noncitizens and illegal immigrant citizens, was announced in a media release on April 17 by ALIPAC. The purpose of the page is to help advertising, politicians, candidates, and voters in addressing this acknowledged regional issue. But, the X/Twitter campaign promoting the press release and knowledge, which immediately gained 44, 000 opinions, was censored and halted by Elon Musk’s business.

ALIPAC spokesman William Gheen wrote in a post that” nowadays we are releasing Twitter’s emails declaring that illegally registering noncitizens and improper immigrant voters are a “protected team” on X and promoting documentation and sources proving our system-wide issue with this type of election fraud is regarded as “hate speech/hateful content” which they will stop.
Comments on the blog and launch allegedly claimed that everyone concerned about the issue of illegal immigrant voters was lying and racist on both X and Twitter. A nationwide network of activists were notified by ALIPAC, who urged them to listen to the trolls with links and resource citations.
ALIPAC believes that many of the commenters are online trolls, referring to them as” China Trolls” or” Laughing Trolls”. According to ALIPAC, these troll are hired by mysterious funders and attack people in groups, use the same dialect, and destination addresses that have low rankings and are shadowbanned, quite as @ALIPAC. According to ALIPAC, these trolls also appear to be having a poor understanding of fundamental English and the issues at hand. They respond very quickly to certain content, which suggests that they are searching platforms to find targeted content about immigration, Ukraine, and other related topics.
When ALIPAC contested the censorship of their ad by X/Twitter and inquired why it was censored, Twitter initially stated:” Our team manually reviewed your content and confirmed that it violates our Hateful Content policy… Hate speech or advocacy against a protected group, individual, or organization”. However, when asked where it was stated that people of many races allegedly swore they would vote in violation of American electoral laws and committed felonies by casting ballots as noncitizens, Twitter changed its position and claimed that the ad was aimed at nations not permitted to display political content.
A recent article in the Guardian, in which ALIPAC, a registered political action committee, claimed that Twitter allows U.S. political candidates and parties to advertise, was followed by a response from ALIPAC. They inquired as to whether the current Twitter / X Political Content Policy forbids political advertising in the United States or whether a change should be made to make it possible for ads to run only there.
Twitter did not respond, instead reiterating their claim that the ad was against their” Hate Speech” guidelines.
