    At a ceremony held Thursday at the Washington National Cathedral in honor of the seven workers killed while aiding a humanitarian mission in Gaza, world-renowned restaurant and chairman of the volunteer World Central Kitchen (WCK) José Andrés paid tribute to them.

    ” They risked everything to feed people they did n’t know and would never meet”, he said, saying his employees were the best of humanity. ” Their cases should motivate us to do better, to become better”.

    After delivering meal, the seven help employees were leaving a warehouse in Deir al-Balah, key Gaza. When an Jewish attack struck, they were driving in a “deconflicted area” in two armoured vehicles.

    Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu took the blame for the unexpected attack, calling it a” horrible event,” but he also said conflict happens like this.

    In a sad statement at the celebration of life, Andrés praised each of the employees. He claimed that there are “one very some innocent lives lost.”

    Food is never used as a tool in combat. Because they are the best of us, statesmen can never be target, he said.

    Following person Doug Emhoff attended the monument, representing the Biden management, Politico noted.

    After the attack, President Biden called Andrés to give his condolences and released a statement that said he was “outraged” at the announcement of the workers ‘ deaths, including an American French two member.

    Senator Chris Coons ( D- Del. ) was also in enrollment for the monument.

    ” As José Andrés said, we cannot overlook the suffering of those caught up in charitable catastrophe, and we can help the gentle shine through, even in the nation’s darkest spots”, Coons posted on the social system X.
