Owen Wilson was unable to feign accepting the position because the lure of a$ 12 million payday for playing a leading role in a movie that depicts O. J. Simpson as innocent of the murders of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Ronald Goldman was insufficient.
The video, which is titled , The Juice , and has been described as a” humorous thriller”, is being directed by American director Joshua Newton.
Speaking to the Hollywood Reporter,  , Newton said , he had approached Wilson about playing Douglas McCann, a true- life prosecutor who delved into the many crime beliefs that surrounded Simpson’s 1995 murder trial. What transpired next was described in Newtown:
Owen Wilson was great for the part.
In Santa Monica, I basically met with him. Everyone loved the storyline. His broker requested that he do it. We offered him$ 12m.
But at the end of the meal, Owen stood up and said,’ If you think I’m going to take the lead role in a video about how OJ did n’t would it, you’ve got to be kidding me.’
The Independent information creation of the picture, which was formerly titled , Nicole &, OJ, is continuing.
Station 19‘s Boris Kodjoe is playing Simpson opposite Charlotte Kirk ( Ocean’s 8 ) as Nicole Brown Simpson.
Newton says he hopes to complete the film by 3 October, which may indicate the 29th celebration of Simpson’s certainly- criminal conviction.
