Former president Donald Trump told reporters that he wants to honor his wife Melania’s day in Florida on Friday but is unable to devote the day with her because of his “rigged” criminal prosecution in Manhattan.
Trump wished his family a “very happy day” before the trial and promised to travel back to Florida on Friday night to spend the maximum amount of time with her.
” I want to start by wishing my wife Melania a really happy birthday”, Trump said. ” It’d be good to be with her, but I’m at a court for a rigged prosecution”.
” It’s a rigged trial, it’s bad. However, we’re doing very well in this manipulated test. Everyone knows it”, he said.
” But I do have to start by wishing Melania content birthday”, he added. ” She’s in Florida. I’ll be going there this night after this situation finishes away, this horrible, illegal case”.
Just about one- third of American adults , believe , Trump did something unlawful regarding the case, an AP- NORC Center for Public Affairs Research surveys just found.
Trump also praised the Supreme Court’s arguments on Thursday regarding national resistance and cited a parliamentary report on his trial.
We have a record that was just put out by House Judiciary on the district attorney’s office, which was done by Congress. And thus, I suppose it only just appeared a short while ago, perhaps a few seconds before. I have n’t seen it yet. I have n’t read it. But it should be intriguing. … The event is around. You heard what was said, and the event should be over. But you have to make that determination. I believe there is a judge who wo n’t ever let this case end in a positive way. He’s very conflicted, the most very conflicted determine I’ve ever seen.
Tuesday, I had the Supreme Court having to deal with resistance. I heard the argument. It was excellent. I listened to it last evening, I thought it was truly great. I thought the questions from the judges were excellent. All leaders have to have resistance. This has nothing to do with me, absolutely everything. Any president must possess immunity, or you wo n’t have a president, not a president the founders desired.
” We have another day in court, a melting court. It’s pretty cool in there — on intent, I believe. They do n’t appear to be able to raise the temperature. It should n’t be that complicated”, Trump concluded. ” We have a chilling court, and that’s great — it’s really great. Allow’ em keep handing it out. It’s a skewed test”.
