Previous Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan ruled out any arrangement and declared that he was prepared to serve an extra nine years in jail more than engage in any agreements with what he termed the troops that have “enslaved” the country.
In his information, Khan highlighted what he described as the implementation of the “worst dictator” on the land, notice of its harmful effects on the economy, leadership, politics and the courts.
Khan affirmed his willingness to continue serving time if necessary after spending the last nine months in prison for what he claimed are “fake and created circumstances.” ” I may remain in jail if I have to for nine more years, or more, but I did not strike a deal with those who have enslaved my society”, Khan said in a statement.
The 71-year-old previous cricketer-turned-politician has faced convictions in numerous instances, leading to his prison at Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi, since his resignation from electricity through a no-confidence movement in April 2022. Khan’s social gathering, Pakistan Tehreek- e- Insaf ( PTI), has encountered challenges following his fall- out with the important defense, including arrests and defections, especially after the unrest sparked by his arrest next year.
Khan’s speech comes in response to remarks made by PTI chief Shehryar Afridi, who stated the party was open to dialogue with other political parties. He referred to the Pakistan Peoples Party and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz as “rejected bunch” and reiterated the PTI’s dedication to working with the military commander for Pakistan’s coming.
Barrister Gohar Ali Khan, PTI head, reaffirmed the group’s opposition to any discussions with outside parties while addressing rumors about alleged conversations.
During the February 8 general votes, independent individuals with the PTI’s support re-elected over 90 seats in the National Assembly. But, a article- vote alliance formed by the PMN- L and the PPP sidelined the PTI, preventing it from forming a national government.
