Five people were shot on Friday night outside a club in intensely gun-controlled Washington, DC, and a suspect is currently in custody.
According to ABC News, the bar where the incident took place is “in the Dupont Circle neighborhood.”
The incident evidently occurred as a result of an argument that started inside the nightclub and then grew around. All the gun scars are considered non- life- disturbing.
WSAZ 3 noted , that the Secret Service was present to help arrest the killing think.
Giffords, a team dedicated to protecting gun rights in D.C., sums up the state’s role in gun control by reiterating that the District has passed some of the strongest laws to prevent gun violence in the country.
DC’s controls include gun owner registration, universal background checks, weapons buy waiting periods, a “high power” magazine ban, a red flag rules, gun storage laws, and a de facto “assault weapons” ban.
Despite all these restrictions, on Friday nights, five people were shot outside a DC bar.
On March 25, 2024, FOX 5 quoted D. C. native Denise Krepp saying:
It’s horrifying when you realize I just passed that crossing 15 minutes before the gunfire starts to go off, when neighbors text at seven o’clock at night when they realize there is another firing, and know it’s happening every day, every week, every evening.
” We should n’t be putting our kids to bed to the sound of gunshots, and that’s what we’re doing in D. C. right now”, Krepp concluded.
