Instead of calling the chief of police to complain that she “did n’t feel like stopping,” the district attorney in New York demanded that they “leave me alone” as they refused to stop when a police officer attempted to pull her over for speeding.

Sandra Doorley, a district attorney for Monroe County, has been the subject of a significant outcry following the release of police body camera images of her theatrics on Monday in the Town of Webster. &nbsp,

She justified her refusal to take over by saying her home was “down the road,” despite admitting to driving 55 miles in a 35 miles area in a statement released on Thursday by 13ABC.

The footage showed Doorley snapping back after being informed that she was speeding 20 mph over the speed limit and saying,” I do n’t really care.”

Finally, she could be heard saying,” Could you please show them to keep me only?” to Webster Chief of Police Dennis Kohlmeier over the phone.

When the official asked, Doorley refused to leave her door, prompting him to visit her inside. &nbsp,

She later changed her tale to simply not believing she should get pulled over, despite originally claiming she did not hear the sirens or the police’s lights. &nbsp,

The officer tried to justify to the agent that he was only carrying out his duties and that Doorley “knows better” than to dismiss police requests, but she retorted,” I know the law greater than you.”

” Why is it you’re therefore against me? I’m doing my work. You say you’re a DA”? One time, the official asked her.

” I am the DA”, Doorley replied, getting her symbol out of her SUV as she called him an “asshole”.

When asked why she was going so fast, she said she “did n’t feel like stopping on Phillips Road at 5: 30″, to which the officer replied,” That’s not your choice. You know that”.

” What do you want us to do, never do our work because it’s you”? he asked the district attorney.

She rebuffed his request to simply read her a seat, but he pointed out that refusing to stop is” an arrestable act” and that she should just read her a seat.

” You know this”, he suddenly reminded her, addressing her by her first name.

She made the justification for her error by claiming she had experienced” three deaths in the area” and had a “really poor day.”

Since then, her social media accounts have been flooded with calls for her up for her abhorrent behavior.

” I do n’t feel like it,” wrote one X user, so glad that I do n’t have to follow the laws when I travel to Rochester, New York.” &nbsp,

I’m glad that because” I do n’t feel like it,” I should n’t have to obey the laws when I travel to Rochester, New York.

” Could you provide the police chief’s phone number for us to call if we are pulled over?” asked another poster. ” Only honest, no”?

Can you provide the police chief’s phone number for us to visit if we are pulled over? Just good no?

In a statement following the release of the film, Doorley said,” Nothing, including your city attorney, is above the rule of law, even customers rules”.

Anyone who knows me fully realizes that I have dedicated my whole 33-year occupation to the safety of this community, the DA said. ” My efforts to ensure the safety and respect of law enforcement have been consistently proven.” I continue to support my job and pledge to Monroe County’s public health.

Doorley continued, adding that she had already entered a plea to the customers act on Tuesday and that she had not intended to use her position to gain a profit.” I believe in accepting responsibility for my actions and had no intent of using my position to receive a profit.
