BUDAPEST, Hungary — Mercedes Schlapp, host of Conservative Political Action Conference ( CPAC ) Now and former Trump White House director of strategic communications, slammed Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg’s business records trial against former President Donald Trump, calling it “authoritarian”.
” This trial in New York is authoritarian. In an exclusive interview with CPAC Hungary, Schlapp said,” It is exactly what you see in these totalitarian regimes where you have the judicial system trying to demonize this chairman, trying to put him into jail, and trying to demonize him.”
Schlapp added,” There is no expected approach, and there’s no means for a fair trial in New York”, but she said she hoped the jury may be good.
” I hope the jury recognizes this con that is trying to prosecute the political opposition of President Biden,” she said. ” And we know that there’s cooperation between many of these court cases against Donald Trump and the White House, and I hope that, when also, may be exposed”.
CPAC Hungary took position over Thursday and Friday in Budapest, and with more than 3, 000 visitors, it was the largest gathering of conservatives in Europe. Since its 2022 debut, this is its second incarnation.
Schlapp even had a message for Europe’s liberals, who fear Trump’s potential gain to the White House in 2024.
There is no denying that a left-wing media advertising campaign exists to imprison Donald Trump and spread fear among the populace, she said.
She added,” I worked for President Trump, and he was, by far, the most affordable and typical- feeling president that I’ve seen in my life. Someone who comprehends that America needs to be strong and that we must face our adversaries, including Russia, China, and Iran. We need Donald Trump to step in to investigate the ways in which we can help us end the conflict between Ukraine and Russia, support Israel in the fight against these terrorist organizations, and ensure that we successfully destroy ISIS once more. After Donald Trump has not been in office, IS has returned.
Schlapp continued,” I think we have to understand that Donald Trump is someone who can negotiate the deal, is able to work with his European allies, his Asian allies, but also say,’ Look, we’re not going to be messed with.'”
” America, we have to take care of our people first, and we’ll also provide the support across the globe to make sure that there’s stability and not these endless wars that it seems that we’re getting back into”, she concluded.
