Senator Tim Kaine ( D- VA ) said Sunday on CBS’s” Face the Nation” that the treatment 2016 Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton , received on the campaign trail as , presidential candidate showed a” continuing existence of a double standard for women”.
Guest Kristen Welker said,” You say in one section of the book, 2016, when you were therefore- Secretaryq Clinton’s running partner’ taught me some terrible lessons about a state I thought I understood.’ What are the classes”?
Kaine said,” In 2016, one of the things I learned very powerfully is there’s also a twin regular affecting people. Appear, I knew that academically. I’m married to a professional woman, and I’ve seen it in both her and other people’s lives, but I did n’t until I went on the Hillary campaign where I saw a good public servant and a good person being judged harshly against her opponent in numerous ways. I believe I have a problem with the existence of a double standard for women.
He added,” But I also learned on my journey something really important. In terms of politicians, this nation is divided. There are many things on which Joe Biden, Donald Trump, Israel, or Gaza, we disagree on, but we also need to realize that there are also places where we can agree without getting too close.
