
At least 40 people were killed when a bridge collapsed in northern Kenya early on Monday, according to police, after a wall of water swept through homes and blocked a key highway.
According to police national Stephen Kirui, the Old Kijabe Dam collapsed and water poured inland from the Mai Mahiu area of the Great Rift Valley area.
