The U. S. Department of Homeland Security has officially asked the Directors of , OpenAI, Google, and Microsoft to join , another tech officials on a national AI safety screen.
According to a report from CNN, the U.S. state is requesting tips from leading artificial intelligence firms on how to use the AI they are developing to protect equipment from AI problems.

Besides the mind of , Northrop Grumman, and Delta Air Lines, Google CEO Sundar Pichai, Satya Nadella, and Satya Nadella of Microsoft, are reportedly asked to join the board on AI protection.
The Directors of Amazon Web Services, IBM, Cisco, intel AMD, and AI designer Anthropic have also been asked to join the national board, as well as the rulers of the organization , Lawyers ‘ Committee for Civil Rights Under Law.
These people will presumably be expected to make suggestions to telecommunications companies, network operators, energy utilities, and other sectors about how they can “responsibly” apply artificial intelligence, as well as how to make for” AI- related , disruptions”, the Department of , Homeland Security said.
The 22- member AI Safety and Security Board will also include , federal, state, and local government officials, as well as China- born computer scientist Fei- Fei Li, a professor , at Stanford University and co- director of the university ‘s , Human- Centered AI Institute.
According to DHS Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas, “artificial intelligence is a transformative technology that can advance our national interests in unprecedented ways.” It also presents “real risks,” which we can reduce by adopting best practices and taking other carefully considered, practical actions.
