Burkina Faso has suspended a chunk of worldwide news organisations, some eternally, for airing charges of an military murder of civilians. Le Monde, the European release Guardian, Deutsche Welle, the European network, and TV5 Monde, France’s news outlet, are just a few names. They were given a suspended conditional discharge for reporting on a Human Rights Watch report accusing troops of killing 223 people in February’s strikes on two villages. Burkinabe’s defense has described it as “baseless.”
