After taking on the Sorbonne and the Sciences Po in Paris over the past year, pro-Palestinian protesters, who are student liberals in the United States, have spread their barricades of European universities nationwide.
Pro- Palestinian protesters occupied some provincial , Institutes of Political Studies ( IEP )— more commonly known as Sciences Po — throughout France on Tuesday, with kids blockading doors to the research institutes in Lyon, Menton, Rennes, and Strasbourg.
Related actions have been taken in the United States on the schools of renowned universities like Harvard and Colombia in New York City. It even followed the recent occupation of Paris ‘ Sciences Po and the suspension of classes and exams at the exclusive Sorbonne University on Monday, which forced school officials to reschedule courses and classes.
The protesters reportedly waved flags to denounce Sciences Po research institutes in France for being involved in the alleged “genocide” in the Gaza Strip following Israel’s military function to expel Hamas from the region following the September 7th terror attacks by the Islamist Palestinian party.
Students positioned seats outside the university’s walls while waving Arab colors and a symbol stating” Sciences Po Rennes supports Palestine” were a common sight at the Sciences Po in Rennes.
A young lady who was present at the show claimed on social media that the student organization “voted to prevent the IEP in support of the Arab people and all the organized students, in the United States, at Sciences Po Paris, etc.

Students in Strasbourg, the home of the European Parliament, erected trash cans and construction site barricades to obstruct the access to the neighborhood IEP. The Strasbourg activists were joined by National Assembly member , Emmanuel Fernandes of the far- left , La France Insoumise party, which has long backed the anti- Israel movement in France.
The leader of the LFI in the French Parliament,  , Mathilde Panot, spoke out again in support of the student blockades, saying at a rally in Paris on Tuesday:  ,” They would like the genocide in Gaza to take place in silence. They failed. People are protesting it from Columbia to Sciences Po, all over the world.
Glory to the young people who represent our nation’s and the world’s honor! I’m proud to advocate for international law and peace. No political assault or judicial intimidation will force us to bend. A genocide is underway, it is our honour to denounce it tirelessly.”

In response to an investigation into individuals who “apologise for terrorism” at the request of the Ministry of the Interior, Panot was summoned by French police for an interview last week.
The far-left party has also accused the Macron government of “authoritarianism” and political censorship, with former LFI presidential candidate Jean-Luc Mélenchon claiming that the opposition party’s leader was” sustainedly summoned to the police for her ideas and “adding:” French democracy is seriously splintered. The world looks at us stunned.”
The student-led Inter Sciences Po Palestine Mobilization Committee has called for” all universities in France to mobilize to denounce the genocide that is taking place in Gaza.” Despite this, the campus protests that are pro-Palestinian appear to be continuing to grow throughout France.
