The pro-Palestinian protesters who broke into Hamilton Hall at Columbia University early on Tuesday night demanded that the school permit the delivery of food and beverages to the tower.
The student president claimed that the protesters were entitled to “humanitarian help,” in the same way that the Hamas jihadists the protesters help who attacked Israel on October 7 and therefore demanded that Israel provide them with food and fuel.
Different sources have identified the spokesperson as Johanna King- Slutzky.

After a Columbia undergraduate demands that the school assist in feeding the protesters occupying Hamilton Hall, a reporter grills the student.

King- Slutzky, a graduate student and left- aircraft political advocate, cited the fact that individuals ( or their families ) had paid for Columbia’s meals program as a reason to make sure they were fed while improperly occupying school property by force.
She added that restricting access to food and water for the pro-Palestinian, anti-Israel, and antisemitic protesters would result in them being essentially forced to die from starvation or dehydration.
Students occupying house at some elite universities, quite as UCLA, have been allowed to bring in food and drink, and to use on- school bathrooms.
The Columbia students, however, appear to have worn out their welcome after Tuesday morning’s violent Hamilton raid.
The New York Police Department ( NYPD ) invited the university to remove the activists from Hamilton Hall shortly after King- Slutzky issued her demand for refreshments. Prior to this, the university had pledged to refrain from using the NYPD as it did when a pro-Palestine encampment was removed earlier in the month. However, after negotiations with the activists broke down, and they invaded Hamilton Hall, there was little choice.
