Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu faced fierce opposition from The Hague, who criticized the behavior of Israeli officials as comparable to those of the Russian leader.
The International Criminal Court ( ICC ) in The Hague issued an arrest warrant for alleged war crimes more than a year after Russian President Vladimir Putin invaded Ukraine. The global body was now expected to handle Netanyahu and other frontrunners no different than Putin as pressures from alleged allies have challenged the continued battle from Israel following the terror attack on October 7.
In a video message released on Tuesday, the prime minister expressed concern that the International Criminal Court in The Hague had just “pour flight energy on the fires of antisemitism.” He was confirmed by the minister in a statement on Tuesday.” The International Criminal Court is considering issuing arrest warrants against older Israeli government officials as war criminals.
” This would be an outrage of legendary proportions. He argued that after the Holocaust that targeted the Jews, global organizations like the ICC emerged. ” They were set up to prevent such atrocities, to prevent future holocausts. The global court is currently attempting to place Israel on the dock.

” It’s trying to put us in the port as we defend ourselves against genocidal jihadists and governments, Iran of course, that explicitly works to eliminate the one and only Israeli state”, continued Netanyahu.
The primary minister said,” Branding Israel’s officials and soldiers as war criminals will put jet fuel on the flames of hatred, those flames that are already raging on the schools of America and across assets around the world,” It will also be the first time a democratic nation, fighting for its life according to the laws of war, is accused of war crimes.
A White House National Security Council spokesperson, who spoke to the outlet on Sunday and discussed the ICC with President Joe Biden, defense of Iran’s recent attack, hostage negotiations, and requests for humanitarian aid to Gaza, declined to comment on specifics of the conversation.” The ICC has no jurisdiction in this situation and we do not support its investigation,” the spokesperson said.
In fact, Biden had held a similar stance when the ICC had issued its arrest warrant for Putin, but had added,” Well, I think it’s justified. But the question is, it’s not recognized internationally by us, either. But I believe it makes a strong point.
In addition, fellow Empire State congressmen Anthony D’Esposito and Marcus Molinaro encouraged Biden to speak out against the” sham prosecution” of Netanyahu on the same day that New York Rep. Elise Stefanik, the chair of the House Republican Conference, filed an ethics complaint against special counsel Jack Smith, a former chief prosecutor at The Hague, regarding his efforts to prosecute former president Donald Trump.
The United States must continue to support our greatest ally as the Israeli government continues its military operations in the Gaza Strip, according to the letter also addressed to Secretary of State Antony Blinken. You both must make sure that any error, such as your rejection of Israel at the UN Security Council in March 2024, is prevented when addressing these accusations.
The Court’s authority has never been recognized by any presidential administration because neither the United States nor Israel have ever been a member of the ICC, empaneled by The Hague. If the Court does decide to move forward with these sham prosecutions, based on accusations leveled by terrorist organizations and corrupt foreign governments, there must be consequences”, the letter continued. We urge the Biden administration to take into account the harshest sanctions for those involved in these prosecutions if they do so proceed.
@RepDesposito and I called on the Biden Administration to stand up for our most ally Israel against absurd and unfounded attacks from the ICC today.

In light of the reports of ever-growing civilian casualties in Gaza, Netanyahu also defended the Israel Defense Forces ( IDF), saying that it is one of the world’s most moral militaries. No other army takes any other measures to prevent civilian casualties, which it takes indefinitely. It does so while battling a terrorist foe that uses its own citizens as human shields. You know the truth. Hamas places its weapons, and its terrorists, in hospitals, schools, mosques and throughout civilian areas. They do this to increase civilian casualties and gain immunity.
The prime minister also addressed the humanitarian assistance provided by Israel, but he also reiterated how the Hamas-led government had obstructed efforts to aid the population.
No ICC action will affect Israel’s iron-clad determination to achieve the goals of our war with Hamas terrorists, Netanyahu said on the threat of arrest warrants for him and other Israeli leaders.” The government and people of Israel reject outright this grave threat to our security, this grave threat to our very existence. We will end Hamas ‘ military and governing structures in Gaza, release all of our hostages, and make sure that Gaza never poses a threat to Israel once more.
