Tuesday on Fox News Channel’s” Hannity”, Sen. Ted Cruz ( R- TX ) reacted to the anti- Israel protests on college campuses throughout the country.
The Texas Republican attributed” social Marxism” on university campuses and in the government to the increase in demonstrations.
” Appearance, Sean, it is extremely terrible, it is heartbreaking to watch what is happening”, Cruz said. ” This is America. This is not Poland prior to World War II. This is not Europe on Kristallnacht. This is America in 2024, and this is a result of the epidemic that has ravaged our colleges. This is the result of cultural Marxism that has taken command of the management and the instructors. These are harsh protesters who are threatening the lives and the protection of Israeli students.
” Let me ask you something, Sean, where is Joe Biden now”? he continued. ” Where is the attorney general tonight? Where is the FBI afternoon? Where is tonight’s governor of New York? When prejudiced Democrats blocked the inclusion of public institutions in the 1950s, President Eisenhower stood up and sent the National Guard. Why wo n’t Joe Biden do that? And you made it clear in your starting speech that Joe Biden wants their support because of the people who threaten the health and livelihoods of Israeli students. Tragically, tomorrow’s Democrat Party, it’s not just the extremists. It is Joe Biden”.
” By the way, where’s Chuck Schumer and where’s Hakeem Jeffries, the leading Democrat in the Senate, the leading Democrat in the House are both New Yorkers and yet they are absolutely silent at the fact that Israeli kids are being terrorized now in Manhattan”, Cruz added. It is scandalous, and I’ll show you what the leader of Columbia should do, what the mayor of New York City may do, what they should say to anyone who is violently protesting, who threatens the lives of a fellow student, who will be detained, prosecuted, expelled, and deported if they are not from the United States of America. And there is no Democratic candidate who has the guts to say that.
