According to Orange County Sheriff John Mina, a “potential sequential killer” paid for sex with two females in separate incidents, strangled them, and dumped their body before being discovered.

Given the short time between the deaths and the similarities between the incidents, Mina claimed at a press conference on Monday that Baez Nieves had the potential of a “potential sequential killer.” Mina added that he is collaborating with another law enforcement organizations to determine whether Baez Nieves, who is from Puerto Rico but moved to Orange County in 2020, had any additional patients.

The FBI defines serial murder as” the unlawful killing of two or more victims by the same offender( s ) in separate events,” a category that Baez Nieves ‘ alleged actions fall under.

You can tell that he is a predator and probably would have killed again because of the fact that he targeted people that he believed would not be missed, Mina said. ” Anytime one is killed so blindly, their figure just dumped and discarded, it’s terrible. We want to ensure that they receive the justice they deserve.

According to an affidavit released by the Sheriff’s Office, both ladies were strangled to death and dumped at the same crossing. According to witnesses, each girl was being picked up at the same 7-Eleven business in a light pickup truck near East Colonial Drive and North Econlockhatchee Trail before being discovered dead. Delegates claimed that the vehicle was actually Baez Nieves’ after a license plate readers near the 7-Eleven pinged the label around the day he was said to have picked up Daniels it.

At the same south Orlando crossing, both Fatia Flowers and Nichole Daniels were strangled and their body dumped. After he claimed he thought she had taken cash from his pocket, Baez Nieves confessed to killing Daniels in an argument with authorities. According to the petition, he also acknowledged that Flowers lost consciousness after he choked her during intercourse and that he dumped her body in a stress at the same intersection.

On Thursday, authorities who are looking into Baez spotted him selling the trailer. According to the affidavit, representatives quickly recovered the vehicle following a visitors stop on the consumers.

Court documents were not quickly accessible for Baez Nieves, who is currently being held without bond in Orange County Jail. No other patients have been formally identified.
